I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all of you as the newly appointed Principal of Po Leung Kuk No.1 W.H. Cheung College. It is with great enthusiasm and dedication that I begin this journey, and I am honored to have the opportunity to serve in this incredible school.
I would like to use this opportunity to thank Principal Cheng, Principal Chau, teachers, and staff. They have left behind an incredible foundation that has allowed our school to thrive and succeed, and I am committed to building and developing upon that foundation to ensure that we continue to achieve quality education with a soul and outstanding performance with a heart.
“Excellence” is not only confined to academic achievements. We expect students to reach success founded on positive values and ethics, have the genuine desire to care for and serve the community and be active citizens with a global perspective.
Excellence in education can only be achieved when consensus is built among different stakeholders; strategies are tailored according to the school context; educational vision and leadership are shared & delivered; the legacy and tradition of the school organization are well preserved, members are synergized and lastly the courage to face challenges is strengthened.
I hold a strong belief that all-rounded education originates from a harmonious relationship built between teachers and students. Teachers are role models for our students. Through education, students will realize their full potential, so that they can lead fulfilling lives for themselves and contribute to the betterment of society.
As we embark on this new academic year, I am excited about the possibilities and challenges that lie ahead. Together, we will continue to build upon the rich traditions and achievements of and strive for excellence in all aspects of education. I am confident that our collective efforts will create an environment where students are motivated to learn, explore their passions, and become compassionate individuals ready to make a positive impact on the world.
